I’m not going to be returning to school in September, but having been in the back to school mode for so many years, and remembering how sad it always was to see the fleeting days of August, I kind of feel like I am. And at the very least I know what it is like to be doing so.
I know the feeling of getting back into a routine, saying good bye to lazy mornings and lazy afternoons, and the stresses that go with deadlines, due dates and all things exams and study related.
The truth is, that it’s hard enough to deal with school and all it entails, let alone everything else. Like eating right, fitting in exercise, planning meals and snacks, and looking after your health. And since I can’t exempt you from your exams, or do any of the school work, I’ll help you out with the life part instead.
Welcome to the Back to School Guide! I’ve put together a 3 part guide to help ease you into the school year, and more than that to help you maintain your healthy habits and lifestyle that you established over the summer. Or if you didn’t establish it, it will be part of the new routine and all the September goals . . .
The guide is divided into 3 sections:
- Recipes, featuring healthy, quick meals and snacks, many of which you can make ahead
- Healthy living tips and resources, to help you stay on track with your health and look after yourself
- Fitness, including quick workouts and tips for making time for fitness in a busy schedule and
